FAQ
Answers about our AI mission product.
How MissionSmith uses AI to plan, validate, and prepare drone missions - and what to expect as an early SaaS product from Kaelor Labs.
What is Mission Smith?+
Mission Smith is Kaelor Labs' AI product for drone mission planning. Describe intent in natural language, set up a mission area on a Photorealistic 3D map, and get validated waypoint plans with clearance and readiness checks.
Do I need special hardware to try it?+
No. You can plan and validate missions in the browser. A modern laptop and internet connection are enough to use the Mission Control workspace.
How does the AI planning workflow work?+
You prepare the site (geofence, home, aircraft), describe the objective in the copilot, review structured proposals on the map, then run validation before any execution path.
What does clearance validation mean?+
Routes are checked for geofence bounds, altitude envelopes, and obstacle clearance. Segments are summarized as OK, TIGHT, or BLOCKED so operators can revise before flight.
Is this for simulation or real flights?+
Mission Smith is planning- and validation-first. Early-access workflows focus on turning intent into reviewable plans and visible constraint results. Simulation and field integrations continue to expand.
Does it support PX4 / Gazebo?+
Simulation and telemetry workflows are part of the product direction for Expert and Enterprise. The core experience today centers on map-based planning, AI proposals, and validation.
How is my mission data handled?+
Sessions are authenticated (Firebase Auth). Mission and session data are stored for your workspace so you can resume planning. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can multiple operators share a mission?+
Expert and Enterprise plans are designed for shared mission sessions and collaborative workspaces. Starter and Pro are single-operator seats.
